زهره که پس از ماه درخشان ترین شیء در آسمان شب است، امروز غروب روی یک خط مستقیم میان زمین و خورشید قرار خواهد گرفت.

حاصل، ظاهر شدن یک قرص سیاهرنگ بر صفحه خورشید است؛ پدیده ای موسوم به گذر زهره که زمانی یکی از هیجان انگیز ترین رویدادهای نجومی بود.

دو قرن و نیم قبل، وقتی گذر زهره اتفاق می افتاد بشر چیز زیادی از ابعاد واقعی منظومه شمسی نمی دانست.

اندازه خورشید و فاصله سیارات از یکدیگر از جمله این مجهولات بود. اما مهمترین سوال این بود که زمین چقدر از خورشید فاصله دارد.

شهردار منطقه 15 تهران نیز گفت: حادثه پانزدهم خرداد بذری بود كه به دست باغبان پیر انقلاب در سرزمین مستعد جان های مردم افشانده شد و در طول 15 سال بهترین عزیزان وطن با خون خود آن را آبیاری كردند تا سرانجام در بهمن 57 همچون نهالی نورس به شكوفه نشست.
