سرانجام در پانزدهم بهمن 1313 هجری خورشیدی لوح یادبود تاسیس دانشگاه با حضور مقام ها و مسئولان عالی رتبه دولتی در محلی كه در حال حاضر پلكان جنوبی دانشكده پزشكی است، در داخل خاك به امانت گذاشته شد و از آن پس این دانشگاه محل تعلیم و تربیت دوستداران علم و دانش به شمار رفت.

تاسیس دانشگاه تهران باعث تحول شگرفی در عرصه علم و فرهنگ ایران شد؛ این مكان آموزشی در طول سالیان متمادی افراد شایسته، شخصیت های برجسته و چهره های صاحب نامی را در خود پرورش داد و به جامعه تقدیم كرد و همچنین پذیرای تدریس بزرگان علم و دانش ایران درخود شد، افرادی كه خود به تنهایی گنجینه پرباری از دانش به شمار می رفتند.
